My name is Shen Yao and I am the envy of all the noble ladies in the capital. Growing up in the royal family as the future crown princess comes with its own set of challenges, one of which is dealing with the annoying Crown Prince. Despite once having a liking for him when we were younger, I now find myself wanting to call off the engagement. To make matters worse, the fifth prince has always enjoyed playing pranks on me. The palace is full of political schemes and it's no place for me. So I decide to break off the engagement and leave. The Crown Prince is initially pleased with my decision, but his focus soon shifts to me as he tries to figure out who I am spending time with. He becomes obsessed with finding out who the girl is that played polo with Jiang Er, sat with Fifth Brother, and studied with Kang Yi. To his surprise, he learns that it is me - the daughter of the Minister of Military residence. Despite breaking off the engagement, the Crown Prince finds himself struggling to forget about me.
