Known as "Twilight," the master spy of Westalis is willing to undertake any mission in the name of peace. His current task is investigating Donovan Desmond, a politician from the neighboring country Ostania, in order to thwart extremist plans to start a war. In order to infiltrate Desmond's son's school, Eden Academy, Twilight faces his toughest challenge yet: creating a fake family. Taking in Anya, an orphan, as his fake daughter and prospective student at Eden Academy, Twilight also recruits Yor Briar, an absent-minded office worker who needs a false partner for her own reasons. But unbeknownst to Twilight, Yor is also a skilled assassin known as "Thorn Princess." Anya herself is not what she seems, possessing the ability to read minds due to secret experiments. Under the guise of "The Forgers," the spy, the assassin, and the esper must play their respective roles as husband, wife, and daughter while carrying out their individual objectives. As they navigate their fabricated family dynamic, they gradually learn that a true family is not just about blood relations.
