Azusa Aizawa suddenly dies from overwork and finds herself before an angel. The angel allows her to reincarnate as an immortal witch in a new world where she kills slimes for money and enjoys an eternal vacation. However, Azusa realizes that the minimal experience points she gains from killing slimes add up over hundreds of years and she accidentally reaches the maximum level. Worried that her abilities will force her back to a life of overexertion, she decides to keep her strength hidden to maintain her peaceful lifestyle. Despite her best efforts, news of the max level "Witch of the Plateau" spreads and a proud dragon named Laika comes looking to test their strength against her. Although Azusa defeats and befriends Laika, her secluded life is threatened as both friends and foes come seeking her out.
