Dragonsitter summary:
On a desolate, snow-covered island, Axela was the only dragon, with no human companionship except for wine. He had made a deal with the previous king that had resulted in peace across the land, but the caretakers who were supposed to look after him never lasted long. That was until Corette Neivia arrived, a 12-year-old orphan who refused to be discouraged from staying with Axela. At first, Axela tried to persuade Corette to leave, but the determined girl had nowhere else to go and was determined to bring Axela out of his reclusive state. As time passed, they grew closer, but unrest began to mount across the continent. Axela wanted no part in another conflict, but when the queen asked him to honor a promise, even if it exploited his newfound vulnerability, he had to make a difficult decision.
